Hi there!

I'm Yepicurus. But you can call me Yepi (or Peter, if we’re going by my government name)Contrary to popular belief and my Instagram/Youtube profile pictures, I'm not actually a cat. I'm:- A third culture kid who has lived all over the world — born in India, lived across London and the USA. My home and base of operations is Toronto, Canada- Trained in philosophy, psychology, law and anthropology from top schools including Stanford University and the London School of Economics- I spent several years conducting psychosocial interviews with death row prisoners, and have painstakingly collected insights into the question "What does it mean to live a good life"?- I have personally overcome a lot of adversity in my life and so I'm not a detached armchair philosopher. This has contributed to making my philosophical counseling approach as grounded and empathetic as possible

ABOUT EXISTENTIAL CONSULTINGIn these one-on-one consulting sessions, I work with you to discover/re-discover existential meaning in your life and help you out of sunken places. These sunken places could be: difficulty finding and sustaining meaning in life, a sense of existential dread, feeling stuck in a rut, pervasive lack of motivation, difficulty finding one's vocation, challenges with turning unfulfilled creative potential into actionable outcomes, coming to terms with mortality, etc.My approach is philosophical counseling based in evidence, intuition and empathy.I use a combination of therapeutic conversation, life-design methodology, empirical research, shadow work and existential analysis to guide our sessions.Based on these sessions, I create tailor-made frameworks just for you that you can use to reframe your relationship with life, identify and internalize your core values, find greater fulfillment personally and professionally, and perhaps most importantly - feel less alone through your life journey.

CLIENT TESTIMONIALSMy sessions with Yepi gave me the clarity and confidence to take back control of my life with intention, curiosity, and optimism. His approach was methodical and biased towards action with lots of exercises and practices to apply immediately. He is well versed on philosophy and even more so in living life. He was the accountability friend I needed to make a change in my life that I overanalyzed and kept defering. Thank you Yepi for helping fight my apathy and affirm life!- VincentSpeaking with Yepi is like talking to a sage of sorts, one that you might encounter on a strange forest path (although in this case a digital forest). In your time speaking together, you can expect to create a dialogue that is stimulating, creative, analytical, profound, compassionate, and all-encompassing. I came to Yepi with a dissatisfaction for traditional therapy. I didn’t want to vent about my problems, but rather wanted a creative partner that could stimulate great conversation and discuss ideas and openly discuss life’s greatest questions. It is a constant dialogue of Self and World, a conversation that takes into account the personal and the universal. Our conversations have been that and more. If you want to plumb the depths of your being, and do it with someone who is emotionally, spiritually, and philosophically attuned to the dilemma /beauty /chaos /paradox /gift of existence; I highly recommend you try a session. It has helped me to continue to understand myself on deeper levels, to stretch myself and try to become the best version of myself.- JohnPeter doesn't feel happy for you. He feels happy with you. And therein lies all the difference. Your win is his. Your pain is his. He will sit next to you, and walk alongside as you take your next step. Peter will show you endless grace and compassion, while calling you out on your follies with warmth and top-tier humour. Please feel free to troll him. I was a heady mess – rampant in sabotaging self-talk and mired in unhealthy ways of being. Not once did he judge me. Not once was he overwhelmed by my darkness. Instead, the wisdom of Yepi showed me how my ego was at play. He held the parts of me I loathed with softness. He illustrated the cycle I was stuck in. I saw my shadow at play, and realised how I needed to be more self-accepting and whole. His love for Jung has merit, folks. I’m glad to say, I’m less of an ass to myself today. Speaking of asses, I once called myself a ‘donkey.’ Yet again, Peter challenged my perception around them. Also because he has a soft spot for them. He has this way of seeing underrated beauty in the world, and he uses it to turn your monsters into friends. Or atleast into less daunting beings. Btw, Pete is also welcoming of progress texts/mails along the way – responding with a heart each time. Letting you know he’s always around, rooting for you. For someone who loves songs titled "The Noose" and "Weak and Powerless" he is actually a major life-affirming cheerleader. In fact, last year, I told him he was my “Person of the Year', and I meant it. I'd found a space rich in art, philosophy, and warmth, that helped me face the harsh realities of life, and myself. Booking that 20-minute call on a whimsy led me on a journey of autonomy and growth, with the coolest person in my corner.- RabhyaMy experience working with Yepicurus has been nothing short of life affirming and inspiring.I look forward to every meeting and every meeting looks and feels different. Starting with simply how I’m doing that day, we might move into something fun, philosophical, and psychological. Or we might move into something practical, like preparing a plan of action. We might practice analyzing the pros and cons of a decision, or explore the benefits of true comfort, relaxation, and nourishment. We have also practiced breathwork, nervous system regulation, and explored the theory behind personality types. After many many many years of being disappointed over and over again by the methods offered by therapy and various spiritual spaces, people, systems, and books…….After being confused further by the help offered by these sources…….. Yepicurus offered something refreshing and genuinely valuable. Unique, practical, genuinely helpful, with both immediate and long lasting benefits. Yepicurus has real intelligence, expressing care, compassion, empathy, and curiosity with authenticity and a sense of humor. Here is someone who actually embodied the qualities I kept hearing about. It was the fact that he worked countless hours with death row prisoners. I had the utmost respect and admiration for this service he rendered.I am so so grateful to have worked with him. I am doing much better than when we first started together. My rational brain is beginning to work again, and I’m feeling more like myself, the best parts of me. These come online when talking to Yepicurus. I leave our sessions focused, motivated, grounded, and inspired, and could not recommend him as a guide enough. It’s truly an honor to write this testimonial.- YanaiHi Peter,I wanted to share some feedback and gratitude I felt for our sessions so far.I have seen a marked shift in my ability to move forward with a clarity of thought, rationality, and sense of peace I previously struggled to maintain. You strived to ground each session in concepts and references I could ‘take home’ and play with — they’ve truly served me, and give me even more material to think on past our sessions. It helps to have something actionable to focus on, not only in the interim but thanks to everything it brings up that we get to discuss in following conversations.I wanted to express how grateful I am for the intentionality and structure you provided between each conversation, and how comfortable you made me feel from the get go! Felt very genuine, and I’m really glad to have been able to connect in this way (… past all the memes and threads I enjoy!).- NinaI discovered Yepicurus through one of his book recommendation reels, and couldn’t help but find out more about his work. Then one day while listening to his YouTube video on a cycling trip, I got to know about his “Existential Consultation”, which promised, among other things to help build a Personal Constitution. This immediately got my attention, because this is something that I had tried to do for myself a number of times- but I never got anywhere with it. I had written a long page of things that matter to me, things I want to do, and the person I want to be. Although it was helpful , but I could never really apply it to my life in a meaningful way. I realized I needed a professional to help me figure out, and I booked my first consultation with Yepicurus. We got off to a great start, and discussed all the things that we can explore- starting with the personal constitution. His first feedback was already immediately effective- he told me that I had written too much and that I need to brutally simplify it. He helped me understand that language is a symbol, and the more we dissect it, the further we get from the point. So after an expansive brainstorm about everything that matters to me, Yepicurus helped me chisel it down to a simple code of values that captures its true essence. The simplicity and clarity of those symbols was immensely helpful to me. It helped me totally reshape my thoughts about what matters to me, and what I can do about it. The seeds that were sown in my mind kept growing into meaningful things and led me to unlock new powerful mindsets in ways I couldn’t even expect. Looking back at the last 4 months of regular engagements with Yepicurus, i can clearly see how those foundational conversations led to this journey of growth and self awareness for me. Some things that I really appreciate about him is that he listens deeply to what you’re trying to say, and even though you may not be clear about it- he will gently keep guiding you towards clarity and keep unblocking you from your own limitations. I am impressed at his ability to shape the discussion towards deeply meaningful areas- and after every session I pick up some new ideas that inspire and move me. He also focusses a lot on accountability and commitment, and although its scary to do so, he helped me understand it better with concept of a minimum effective dose. Do something little everyday and keep moving forward even in the worst of times- no days with no progress. In Yepicurus I found what I had been looking for a long time- a coach, a mentor, a guide, and a friend who helps you get out of stuck and dark places and shows you the way towards brighter and better places in your mind. I highly recommend having a chat with him, and hope that it changes your life in some ways, as it has definitely changed mine.- AmanPeter is the best kind of consultant to have in your corner. He's very perceptive, and his versatile experience allows him to get at the heart of things quickly, providing precise guidance to help you untie any personal, professional, and creative knots you may be wrestling with. If you're looking for support and accountability while translating your dreams and aspirations into workable plans and sustainable action, you've come to the right place!- EliDear Yepi, I wanted to take a moment to express my deep appreciation for the insightful conversations we’ve shared. Your ability to create a space where I can navigate through challenging experiences has been invaluable. Your presence and the perspectives you offer have provided me with the kind of support that often feels hard to find. Thank you for offering not just your thoughts, but your time and understanding as well. It’s clear that you have a rare gift for listening and guiding with care, and it has truly made a difference. Your deep understanding of these complex topics, paired with your ability to offer thoughtful and insightful guidance on life's bigger questions, made a significant impact. The insights you provided were not only deeply reflective but also practical, offering new perspectives that helped me gain clarity in navigating difficult decisions.- ManuelaPeter was extremely generous with the time, support, and validation he provided. He fully listened and offered me perspective and a valuable framework to start changing my life. I recommend Peter if you are going through a difficult time or if you just want to have a better perspective of your future path that aligns with your authentic self. I’ve been looking for a mentor for a while, and you’ve really stepped into that role perfectly. Honestly, when I saw "existential consultant" on your Instagram, I had no clue what that was, but now I’m hooked on these conversations. Let’s definitely keep these talks going — I’m learning a ton, and it’s always a good time. Keep doing your thing, my man. Appreciate your hard work and your time.- JamesWorking with Yepicurus has been an eye-opening journey into depth and self-discovery. Session after session, I found myself reflected back to me with wisdom, encouragement, and a strong sense of holding. I felt truly seen, heard, and supported. Each week revealed new insights and patterns, many of which continued to unfold after our sessions ended. I have since been branching out with creative confidence, sharing my work and having a greater sense of adventure when it comes to my creative language and expression. I deeply appreciated Yepi’s ability to tailor his vast knowledge to my needs, seamlessly weaving together diverse ideas and concepts that enriched our conversations and supported my growth. I will carry this work with me wherever I will go and I cherish it with gratitude. Thank you!- Bhavini
